
Chrissy I-eece was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in the Bronx. Both parents from Puerto Rico, and has two sisters. Chrissy always knew as a little girl she wanted to be a singer. Her career started in 1988 as a Freestyle Artist. Her achievements brought to life dance hits such as "Love Desire" (Written by Chrissy I-eece, Will DelValle Produced by Will DelValle and Frank Malave) also "You Should Know By Now" released on Atlantic Records (Produced by “Little” Louie Vega and written by Platinum Recording Artist, Marc Anthony) featuring background vocals by George Lamond and La India and an added mix from Albert Cabrera and Todd Terry.
Her unlimited talent would not let her stay in one facet of the music industry. She went on to record her first Salsa album with producer/arranger Luis "Perico" Ortiz titled "Sangre Nueva Pa' La Calle" on RMM/Sony Latin. The single "Solo Seremos Amigos" featured a duet with the incredible Tony Vega. For Chrissy, this Latin album opened new doors in the entertainment business. She later collaborated with Frankie Cutlass and Sergio George to give birth to the fusion of R&B/Pop and Latin music. The new collaboration brought forth another Latin Hit called "Take Your Love and Go" (Written by Chrissy I-Eece and Sergio George) which features sample vocals of Salsa Legend; Hector Lavoe. Lavoe is featured singing his famous catch phrases that perpetuated his popularity in the Salsa world.
Chrissy has toured around the world and has pleased thousands of her fans in Japan, Spain, Tenerife (Canary Islands), Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. She has been featured in numerous Japanese, Latin and American TV Shows, Radio Programs and trade magazines as well. She also went on to be a Co-host on The Freddy Lopez show. Chrissy recorded duets with Freddy Lopez, Artie Rodriguez, Arlene from Leather and Lace, and R& B recording artist and actor Christopher Williams. She later went on to work with Ruben Martinez Nene Musik Production and put forth album Tina Peña aka Chrissy I-eece.
Shortly thereafter, Chrissy took time off and settled down, got married and began to attend church. It was there that she discovered her calling to serve God. She began singing in her church choir, participated in various recordings doing background vocals and was featured in a documentary called THE RACE. She found a love for the fine arts and has exhibited her work in various venues as well as The City College Division of Interdisciplinary Studies at the Center for Worker Education (CWE).
In 2014 Chrissy was stricken with Non Hodgkins Lymphona. After 6 months of treatment, Chrissy today is a Cancer survivor, overcoming every obstacle set before her because of her faith. A warrior and a woman determined not to let her health stop her from achieving all she has accomplished.
Now after being in hiatus 15 plus years, she returns to her fans to share her gifts and talents. Back in the studio, she collaborated with DJ/Producer Dom Tufaro. Chrissy wrote “Anymore” which released in 2016, along with a video on Nene Musik. Chrissy’s collaboration with Dom Tufaro and Dj Skribble, Street Slang Music, landed a release of a Tribal House track on Dj Roger Sanchez’ label Stealth Records.
Thats’s not all for Chrissy, back in the studio with The Santana Twins, Chrissy’s recorded her comeback Freestyle Single “All These Memories” dropped end of March 2020. A song that became a huge hit for all Freestyle fans and still to this day is as popular as the day it was released.
Her most recent work recorded, Se Acabo (Once We Loved) a remake of La Lupe, produced by 5x Grammy Producer Edwin Ramos with a Latin Soul Mix. This release on Chu-bano Entertainment February, 2021.
Her most recent success is a song
with salsero Billy Crespo, “Tonight I Celebrate My Love” (originally released by Roberta Flack and Peabo Bryson). Moving forward Chrissy will perform with the Orchestra LeBron directed by Arranger, Producer, Bassist Ángel Mambo LeBron and together working on future upcoming projects to be released in June 2022 “Take Me Away” freestyle and a new salsa track this year.
Chrissy’s talent is unstoppable, her voice is unique, strong, well defined and her ability to succeed unquestionable.
